How to increase job satisfaction: the role of participative decisions and feeling trusted

Purpose In the last few years a new management style and paradigm has emerged with aim of improving employee motivation, commitment satisfaction through participatory practices more democratic organizational structures. Based on this paradigm, study examines consequences participative decision making for job trust. Design/methodology/approach To examine proposed relationships structural equation modelling was used sample 3,364 employees conducted by European Foundation Improvement Living Working Conditions (Eurofound). Findings Results confirm that decisions positively influence both directly indirectly means employees' perception Originality/value style, shows how trust can increase satisfaction.
